Students signing in after 9:10 a.m. will remain in the main office until FCAT testing is complete.
Earliest Sign Out for students is 1:20 p.m. due to FCAT security procedures.
If you have a doctor's appointment scheduled for your child and you need to sign them in after 9:10 a.m. or sign them out prior to 1:20 p.m. then you need to keep your child home for the day and participate in the make-up days. Once the test has begun, we cannot take them out of the room due to state guidelines.
If your child is sick or just hasn’t had enough sleep the night before, we encourage you to keep them home and participate in FCAT make-ups. Children who are sick or tired do not perform well on tests. The test success is used for academic placement throughout middle and high school years so it is to your child’s advantage to be in their best physical condition.
Research shows that students who drink lots of water and get a good night’s rest out perform their peers who do not.
